Leserbrief 59

Der 59. Leserbrief in Mays Broschüre "Karl May als Erzieher" und "Die Wahrheit über Karl May" oder Die Gegner Karl Mays in ihrem eigenen Lichte von einem dankbaren May-Leser lautet:

"... Nun noch Eins! Und damit gebe ich den Quellpunkt und Hauptgrund an, wodurch Sie so ganz und vollst mein Interesse hingenommen haben, und das ist I h r e R e l i g i ö s i t ä t , I h r C h r i s t e n t h u m . G o t t s e g n e S i e d a f ü r u n d l a s s e S i e d a b e i , a u c h f e r n e r s o w a r m f ü r d i e s e h e i l i g e n G ü t e r e i n z u t r e t e n u n d s i e u n s s o ü b e r z e u g e n d u n d d o c h s o w e n i g a u f d r i n g l i c h d a r z u b r i n g e n !

So, wie Sie das Christenthum auffassen, fühle ich mich ganz Eins mit Ihnen. W ü r d e e s v o n a l l e n v e r s c h i e d e n e n C o n f e s s i o n e n u n d d e r e n G l i e d e r n s o a u f g e f a ß t , n ä m l i c h a l s e i n e R e l i g i o n d e r L i e b e , s o w ä r e n a u c h s i e a l l e E i n s u n d d a s P a r t e i g e z ä n k e u n d d i e T r e n n u n g e n h ö r t e n a u f . W i e z e i g e n S i e d o c h s o d e u t l i c h , w i e v i e l m a n m i t L i e b e w e i t e r k o m m t ! S i e w e r d e n d o c h s c h l i e ß l i c h a u c h d i e r o h s t e n u n d r a u h e s t e n G e g n e r b e z w i n g e n , w e n n i n i h n e n n u r e i n F ü n k c h e n d e s G u t e n g l i m m t ! . . . "
